Photos of the Journey

An important piece of my journey is my search for health.  Health in body, mind and spirit; however, the most visually obvious results are seen in the ‘body’ component of that equation.

I had Weight Loss Surgery (WLS), specifically, the Vertical Gastric Sleeve (VSG) procedure on August 31, 2012.  Many of us who undergo this, or a similar procedure, think of their surgery date as a second birthday. At the very least, it’s one of those “life changing events”.

At any rate, I’m going to chronicle the physical evidence of my progress here.  For a couple of reasons, I think this is important.  Primarily, I hope that others in this struggle with me, and who might be considering taking this path, will find solace in the knowledge that they are not alone – and that it can be done.

I’ve got to catch up a bit, but I will try to be diligent about posting progress as it happens from now on.

To date:  April 2, 2013, I have lost 102 pounds from my highest weight.
